![]() The problem is that if I remove it, I can't use any of my DLed CC. If I remove the resource.cfg file, it starts working again. The same happens if I try and install a sims3pack through the program launcher. Then, it would download the sims3pack and then open the game window, it would get to the screen that said "Installing (insert file name here)" and get stuck at 0%. This is different from the first problem I was having with the game. I get a small black square instead of the plumbob and loading bar. When I put in the resource.cfg file I DLed here into C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, the game will no longer load. package PackedFile /.package PackedFile //. If you require the sims 4 to see inside of sub folders edit the cfg file with this ( Just copy and paste the info below into cfg making sure it overwrites what is already there ) Priority 500 PackedFile. And after months of having to play with just the original content (which is boring as hell), it suddenly started working correctly. cfg then run the game it should generate a new one. I eventually ended up reinstalling Windows due to some hardware issues and a bad drive. Now I could DL everything, but I could not install any sims3pack files. ![]() After the first few patches the situation changed. And as you'd expect, EA was absolutely no help. When I first got the game, I was unable to DL any content from the Sims Exchange. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit, and have all of the latest drivers installed. Unfortunately, it has been winning up until now. I have been having arguments with Sims 3 since I got it. I am hoping I can get a bit of help here.
